close is one of the commands in Selenium IDE.
The purpose of close command in Selenium IDE, is to close the browser window.
In this article, I am going to practically demonstrate close command in Selenium IDE for closing the browser page.
Let’s get started.
New Selenium IDE – Using ‘close’ command for closing the browser window
Follow the below steps for practicing close command in Selenium IDE along with me:
1) Execute the open command in Selenium IDE as explained in the previous article: Selenium IDE – open command
2) Now click on the second row in the Selenium IDE’s Test Script Editor Box as shown below:
3) While the second row is selected in step 2, enter the Selenium IDE command ‘close’ to the Command box field as shown below:
4) Click on ‘Run current test’ option as shown below:
5) Observe that the close command in the Selenium IDE will be executed, the browser will be closed.
