Introduction to Vitaq AI Test Automation Tool

I have created the following summary to help readers become familiar with Vitaq AI.

Note: All the terms and tools mentioned in this article will be explained in detail in the upcoming sessions. Keep reading even if you don’t understand some terms and only understand this topic at a high level.

1) What is Vitaq AI?

Vitaq AI is an AI-Driven Test Automation Tool equipped with AI machine learning algorithms.

Vitaq AI is a low-cost paid tool that provides the user with the ability to model their test automation using an easy to create test activity diagram. The diagram describes your test space as connected actions to next allowable test actions for your web or mobile app. Each test action in the diagram can use JavaScript and/or Python Language to code test scripts and include data-driven test methods for auto-creating data on-the-fly. This visual and modular way of creating your test automation results in much higher re-use of your test scripts and a much faster time to cover all of your test space. The AI-driven machine learning objective of Vitaq AI is to help you achieve all of your Test Automation User Journeys or Goals in the shortest possible time.

On running Vitaq in AI mode, it will use the automatically generated QA-coverage model (defined by you the user) as the goal to try to achieve 100% coverage for. It will do this by working out what is the most optimal set of tests to achieve this target.

The power of variability in the Vitaq AI Test Automation Tool is the secret source that makes a single Test Activity automatically generate tests for many user journeys combined with different sets of data. Vitaq AI allows test scripts in each Test Action to execute in a series of action sequences, to imitate our user journeys by effectively executing each action script to the next allowable action script in turn.

2) Why should you consider using Vitaq AI Test Automation Tool?

1) It helps you extend your testing from your traditional test Mocha (or other) Frameworks by creating a Vitaq AI Test Activity diagram by re-using all of your test framework JS code.

2) Your new Vitaq Test Activity allows the user to apply AI Machine Learning algorithms to auto-generate tests that focus on the things that the QA Tester cares about, which is your user journeys.

3) Vitaq AI gives users the ability to continuously generate tests that are highly variable, data-driven, and which will explore the test space in ways that QA Testers may not necessarily think about.

4) Vitaq AI is User Friendly which displays your Test Automation User Journey via Test Activity Diagram which is really simple to create and use.

5) Vitaq AI provides support to Both Selenium and Appium. This means you can Automate your Web Application and Mobile Application Both using Vitaq AI.

6) Vitaq AI Supports Traditional Page Object Model Pattern which is usually used by Automation Testers Widely.

For those unfamiliar with the term, Page Objects are a way of representing interactions with a page or component.

Rather than repeating the same selector across your entire test suite for a common page element, you can write a Page Object to reference that component.

Then in your tests, you just ask the Page Object for what you need and it handles it for you.

They’re easier to read because tests become less about the specific implementation of a page and more about what the page does.

3) What are the prerequisites required for learning how to work with Vitaq AI Test Automation Tool?

You should have a good understanding of Selenium and Appium (Not Compulsory) and JavaScript or Python Language(As Vitaq AI Supports both Languages to work with) and we’ll be doing a little bit of work on the command line.

As a prerequisite to start your test development with Vitaq AI, you will need to have Docker installed and running and be able to execute Docker commands at a command prompt. If you do not have Docker installed, then please follow the installation guides at the Docker website.

4) What types of applications can Vitaq AI automate?

Vitaq AI can automate both web applications and native mobile applications using Selenium and Appium. It can also test API’s and even test any system with a defined software interface.

5) What browsers are supported by Vitaq AI?

Vitaq AI supports all the browsers that Selenium supports via its capabilities file:-

i) Edge

ii) Chrome

iii) Firefox

iv) Safari

v) PhantomJs

6) What programming languages are supported by Vitaq AI?

Javascript and Python are the programming languages that are supported by the Vitaq AI Test Automation tool.

This is just an introduction to this tool, and in the coming articles, I will demonstrate the downloading, installation, and using this tool in a detailed and practical way.
